These are really good. A few weeks ago, they took first prize in a cookie contest at work. I asked the woman who brought them in for the recipe and she happily referred me to the blog where she found it. Click here to see the recipe.
The recipe calls for a ton of chocolate chips – milk, dark and semi-sweet. Plus a dab of Nutella in the middle. It makes them really gooey and chocolatey. The sea salt was what made these so special in the office competition. But here, my family reacted like they’d gulped sea water. So I brushed it off. The brown butter also adds depth – like a caramelly flavor.
They’re almost too rich – I can only eat one, and even then…ugh.
Greta has been wanting to bring cookies to her 1st grade teacher so we’re sending these tomorrow.
